The Polish Platform for Homeland Security with the Marshal’s Office of the Wielkopolska Region in Poznan organize a dedicated pilot training on „The role of local cooperation in preventing radicalization: a mechanism of forming and effectively preventing extremism”, which will take place on 9th September 2019.
The training is carried out as part of the MINDb4ACT research and development project and an interdisciplinary network Threats Observatory for Young People. The event will be attended by representatives of the public security sector, the prison and the judiciary sectors, central and local administration, the academic and education sector, social work sector, as well as the non-governmental sector.
The training will be conducted by: dr Marzena Kordaczuk-Wąs – PPHS expert on countering radicalization, with many years of experience in this area in Poland and Europe (RAN expert – Radicalization Awareness Network and CEPOL – European Union Agency for Law Enforcement Training), dr Agnieszka Łapińska and Jakub Horn – attorney-at-law.
The MINDb4ACT project is coordinated by the Spanish institution Royal Elcano Institute. The consortium consists of 18 partners from 9 European Union countries (Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France, Spain, Germany, Poland, Great Britain and Italy). The aim of the project is to improve the most important strategies and programs in counteracting various forms of radicalization in the countries represented in the consortium, as well as providing practical recommendations and solutions in this area for policy-makers and other interested parties. The project is financed by the European Commission under the Horizon 2020 Framework Program.
